ESG Native

As we are ESG Native, sustainability is an historic commitment, full of milestones

Health and Sustainability are the keywords of the strategy we adopted since our foundation. They resonate with the corporate mission of Technogym: to spread the Wellness Lifestyle worldwide and build a model of sustainable living and development, aligning with the objectives of the UN 2030 Agenda.Technogym’s commitment to ESG started from the very beginning. We care about ESG not just thinking about how we do our business but also what is the mission our business: to help people live better.

1983: the Foundation

Technogym was born in Alessandri’s garage.

2002: the Wellness Valley project

Nerio Alessandri creates the Wellness Foundation, a non-profit organization that researches and promotes wellness as a social opportunity. One of the Foundation’s main projects is the Wellness Valley in Emilia-Romagna, the world's first wellness district aimed at enhancing people’s quality of life and well-being.

In 2003, Technogym was honored with the 'Best Place to Work' award, establishing itself as a benchmark for quality work environments and employee services. This prestigious recognition highlights the company's commitment to creating an exceptional workplace where the well-being and professional growth of employees are top priorities. Technogym's corporate culture promotes innovation, collaboration, and personal development, making it a role model in the industry.

2009: first corporate social responsibility report

2012: opening of the Technogym Village, sustanibility and bio-architecture

The Technogym Village not only promotes the concept of sustainability but also represents a perfect example of bio-architecture: every cubic meter of land has been recovered to create a natural barrier with a soft and sinuous silhouette that improves sound insulation. The structure, made primarily of wood and glass, stands out for its attention to detail. Among its features is excellent thermal insulation, which maintains an ideal temperature in the workspaces both in summer and winter, reducing the energy consumption of air conditioning systems.

Moreover, the building is oriented to follow the sun's trajectory from dawn to dusk, increasing exposure to natural light and reducing electricity consumption. Additionally, the facility is one of the few in Europe to have an air conditioning system equipped with an integrated heat exchanger, ensuring reduced impact and constant air exchange.

Let’s move for a better world

In 2014, in alignment with its mission, Technogym launched the first global campaign "Let's Move for a Better World," which has been increasingly successful every year around the world. The initiative aims to raise awareness in communities about the issues of sedentary lifestyles and obesity, while simultaneously promoting physical exercise as the ideal means to combat them, doing so in an engaging and fun way. During the campaign, by working out in one of the participating fitness centers, users can accumulate MOVEs (Technogym's unit of movement measurement calculated in the Technogym App, which is available for free on all major platforms). Based on the MOVEs collected, Technogym identifies a social project to collaborate with each year.
