In compliance with Recommendation no. 13 of the Corporate Governance Code, the Board of Directors appointed the independent director Maria Cecilia La Manna as Lead Independent Director, assigning her the duties referred to in Recommendation no. 14 of the Corporate Governance Code:
(a) to represent a point of reference and coordination for the requests and contributions of non-executive directors and, in particular, independent directors; and
(b) to coordinate the meetings of the independent directors only.
